Skoda Auto India is preparing to make its debut in the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market on February 27 with the introduction of the Enyaq, according to Rushlane. The Enyaq, which was recently displayed at the Bharat Global Mobility Expo from February 1 to 3, has been sighted testing on Indian roads in December 2023.
Leveraging the MEB Platform :
The Enyaq, which will debut internationally in 2022, will reach India via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route. It is built on Skoda’s MEB platform, as is its sibling, the Volkswagen ID.4, which is also set to make its Indian debut soon. This platform is used in several models, including the Volkswagen ID 4 and Audi Q4 e-tron crossovers.
Exploring Skoda Enyaq Specifications and Design :
The Enyaq has a striking design that includes aero-inspired alloy wheels, sweptback LED headlamps, contrast black inlays, and an illuminated grille. Other features include a shark-fin antenna, an integrated spoiler, Skoda lettering, a tailgate number plate recess and wraparound two-piece LED tail lights.
Interior Comfort and Technology :
The Skoda electric SUV will feature modern conveniences such as a 360-degree camera, two all-digital displays, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and a multifunction steering wheel. The interior also has leatherette upholstery, a central console linked to the front centre armrest, and an ambient lighting strip that spans the width of the dashboard.

The Enyaq is available in five trim levels globally, however it is scheduled to launch in India with the Enyaq 80 variation. This model has a 77 kWh battery pack and a WLTP-claimed range of 500 km. The Enyaq 80, powered by a rear-mounted electric motor, has a maximum power output of 200 horsepower and peak torque of 310 Nm, allowing it to go from zero to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.

With a 2,765 mm wheelbase and dimensions of 4,648 mm in length, 1,877 mm in width, and 1,618 mm in height, the Enyaq has a large yet compact silhouette. It is distinguished from Skoda’s flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, by its two-row arrangement. There are nine airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and ADAS technologies such as lane keep assist, blind spot recognition and adaptive cruise control.
